Granting Delegate Access Gandi
Granting Glimmernet access to your Gandi account allows us to manage your DNS and domain settings while you retain full ownership. Gandi handles this through their Organizations and Teams feature — you invite Glimmernet to a team within your organization and set the appropriate permissions.
This article is specific to Gandi domains. We also have articles for GoDaddy, Namecheap, Network Solutions, Cloudflare, and Microsoft 365.
Before you begin
Gandi’s delegation system requires you to have an Organization set up in your account. If you have not done this yet, you will need to create one before proceeding. You can find instructions in Gandi’s organization documentation.
How to add Glimmernet to your Gandi team
- Log in to your Gandi account at admin.gandi.net
- Select Organizations from the left menu
- Select the organization your domain belongs to
- Scroll down and click Manage your teams
- Select the team you want to add Glimmernet to, or create a new one
- On the Team Overview page, click Invite
- Enter [email protected] as the email address
- Click Send invitations
A note on permissions
After adding Glimmernet to the team, click the Permissions tab on the Team Overview page to review what the team can access. At minimum we need permission to manage DNS settings for your domain. Permissions in Gandi are saved in real time — there is no save button.
A note on the invitation link
The invitation email contains a link that can only be used once and expires after 15 days. When we receive it we will make sure to use the correct Glimmernet account to accept it.
Important note
After you send the invitation, an email will be sent to a Glimmernet mailbox that isn’t constantly monitored throughout the day. Please email your account representative to let them know you have sent the invitation so that we can accept it right away.
